Happy Sunday! Time for a makeover + LIVE shopping recap!

This past week we did a refresh (aka makeover) to the warehouse outlet store! We opened this gem last year to hold all our discounted items, and I have always LOVED it’s charming vibes with the black and white checked tile flooring and natural light. {FYI: if you are not local, we’ve brought this sale shopping experience to the online store}

In our “off” season I wanted to give this space a little love and a refresh with our Black, White and Stylish Brights collection! One, because this collection never got showcased in a makeover and two, because it paired with this space like mimosas on a Saturday morning.

Honestly, I think this collection will always be one of my favorites! Black, White and Stylish Brights is a collision of sophistication and fun! The combination of the timeless black and white, and the bold beautiful colors is truly stunning and the perfect balance. It’s what makes this collection so timeless and versatile – the way it brings black and white and rainbow together so seamlessly.

I adore the details of classic apples, notebook paper, paperclips, playful poms and tassels, pencils with fun scripts, and charming pencil pouches – these details make this collection one of a kind! Throw in some rainbow inspired classroom storage and pretties, and you have a space that infuses happiness!

Simply put, it just gives this “classic teacher” vibe … Nostalgic in the way vintage apple jumpers were a staple in teacher closets everywhere, and truly timeless like the sweet gift of a red apple to your most loved teacher. It’s like your favorite elementary classroom from your childhood has been revamped in the most perfect way and it gives all the feels.

If you have followed me very long you’ve heard us talk about ‘The Border Bar’ in the SGS main street store. We created this to help teachers build the most beautiful border combinations, and I wanted to bring an element of this to the Outlet Store with our discounted borders! This year we are adding some really fun elements to our stores – one being mock classroom visuals! Our goal is to always to provide teachers with the inspiration they need to create the spaces that make their hearts swoon every time they walk into their classrooms. But also, making it functional! I will forever love fancy fans paired with a cut-out! It’s such an easy way to showcase your collection throughout the room and it really elevates the paper fan as decor!

Typically in the makeovers I stick to bundling lanterns over student desks, and mounting fancy fans to the corners of bulletin boards. But for the Outlet Store, I wanted to show how beautiful it looks to combine lanterns, poms, fans and polka dots. The color combinations paired with the varying textures turned out just so lovely!

My favorite storage options for teachers are the jelly totes and the classroom caddies. The uses in the classroom are endless, and from a decor standpoint, they add a perfect pop of color to ground the collection you are using.

Give me all the fadeless bulletin board paper – I’ve been a #1 fan for years! Fadeless paper lays the foundation for all other classroom decor, and begins to create a space teachers will thrive in and adore. And although my go-to is always black and white, I will be exploring new horizons with colorful bulletin board paper this season – I’m excited!

Create those cozy nooks in the classroom with pillows! These classic black and white pillows are BFF’s to almost any classroom decor!

For the first time EVER we did a LIVE shopping experience on Instagram, walking through the details of this makeover and showcasing this collection! All items were 50% off! YAY! PLUS there were some fun giveaways throughout the LIVE sale!
