If you keep up with Schoolgirl Style, you might remember my friend, Heidi.  Heidi teaches 1st grade at Myers Elementary in Grand Blanc, Michigan.

Heidi loves to decorate her classroom with a different theme every year, and this year she was completely inspired by my Sports/Team classroom theme!

Heidi loved the whole “team” concept and thought it would be perfect for a classroom setting!  Heidi was also a big athlete back in the day, so I think she was expressing her inner “sports girl” and competitive nature by decorating her room with one of her old passions.  Heidi often called me during the decorating process and it was so much fun to hear how excited she was about creating this room!  She spent the entire summer planning and preparing an environment that she is really proud of. 

FYI…I chose to create this theme in 12 colors, so you can customize your own sports/team themed classroom with your school colors, favorite sports team, or your alma mater!
