It’s Thanksgiving morning and I didn’t plan to “work” today. As I am sitting here, I am reading everyone’s thankful posts on Facebook with tears streaming down my face. I am emotional today. I have so much to be thankful for. I truly do.
Some of you might remember, Amy, one of my best friends that was battling cancer last year. She went into remission, to only find out months later that she has cancer in another part of her body. She is going chemo and radiation yet again and has endured so much. I hurt for her. I feel so much pain, frustration, and disbelief that she is battling for her life once again. She posts on a regular basis and she treats every moment of her life as a precious gift. She has taught me so much. She has helped me put my own life into perspective. Whenever I am worried or upset, I think of her. Suddenly, my problems don’t seem like problems at all anymore. She has given me strength when I needed it. I am so thankful for Amy. She has touched my life more than she even knows.
My dad is also going through chemo and he’s really doing well. I am so thankful to be heading over to my parent’s house today to spend the time with the people that I love the most.
To make me even more emotional, I received photos of my kids from E.C. Campbell Photography. I can’t stop staring at them. My love for them is overwhelming. They bring me so much joy and happiness.
My heart is overflowing with love today.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Thanksgiving!
