It’s that TIME of year…the Schoolgirl Style Reveal!
There’s a few things that I need to explain before we start though… it’s going to look very different this year.
*I listened to your feedback from previous years and although most of you LOVE the reveal, I heard that you also enjoy seeing the collections as they are finished. Instead of waiting an entire year to see the final reveal, many of you told me that you would prefer to know right away what was coming out – this would help you to start planning much earlier.
*Two years ago, I believe I had about 15 or 16 collections. It took over TWO WEEKS to see all of my collections! It was sooooo much work on my end. To be honest, blogging 16 days in a row made me a little crazy. There were tears. Lots of tears. A quality blog post takes about 8-12 hours (not including prepping the pictures and the files). My computer was attached to my hip for weeks and weeks. I couldn’t particpate in life. I vowed that I would come up with a plan to make it easier on myself and my poor family who were struggling with my absence.
*I typically give you an enormous amount of collections to choose from each year, but I also heard from some of you that it could be TOO MUCH. How do you choose from so many? It’s really not a bad problem to have, however, it made me wonder if ALL of those collections each year are truly necessary?
This year….
I know that many of you were dying to see my own classroom from all of the sneak peek photos that I posted on Facebook and Instagram. I received email after email asking if I would reveal my rooms. I decided to show my “Happy Camper” and “Color My Classroom” themes as I finished. *Since I revealed these two collections already, I’ve made the decision to revisit them at the END of the week. No waiting to see the new collections!
I reduced the number of classroom collections. Like I said, two years ago, I had 16 brand new collections. Last year, I took it down to 9 classroom collections. This year, there will be FIVE collections. The Schoolgirl Style Shop now has 70 classroom themes to choose from. I am sure you can agree…that’s a TON of decor! This also helped to save my sanity. Haha!
For those of you that LOVE the reveal, I chose to keep a few of my collections secret and save them for a more formal showing.

Without a doubt, these collections are some of my best yet. I spent a great amount of time making sure that I provided a balance between grade levels and personal taste. I wanted to create something for everyone. The smallest of details were thought of when these collections were in the works.
