During the “off” season we were BUSY at Schoolgirl Style, with the ambition of making our corner of the World Wide Web a beautiful collage of one-stop-shop-heaven for our teachers. In this venture, we have added a TON of new products and I felt like I needed a “central hub” if you will, highlighting all the good details of new products! 

Here we go! 

Of course, we have our three NEW collections of the season: Good Vibes, Simply Safari and Light Bulb Moments. Here are some snippets of this year’s collections, that I am so proud of!

Good Vibes is infused with hues of golden sunbeams, warm corals and cool aquas – a stunning combination. Groovy smiles and retro rainbows will dance on your walls, creating peaceful vibes and a calm ambiance. The gorgeous textures, soothing colors, and detailed design create such an inspiring palette, and the verbiage woven throughout radiates so much positivity. Jump into your roller skates and usher a world of vintage perfection into your classroom, with all the groovy and retro inspired goodness of our Good Vibes Collection! 

Warmth is woven throughout Simply Safari with the most beautiful sunset tones, and adorable safari animals are sprinkled about making it oh-so-charming! A classic leopard pattern and a unique safari painted-dot pattern add the perfect hint of sophistication to this fun-loving collection! Wild and free, and ready to learn! This captivating theme will dance ever-so-happily on the walls of your classroom, ready to help students RAWR through a fun world of exploring and learning!

This collection is all about positivity, light and “cheering” students on towards success! Shining bright and positive thinking are the inspirational tones woven throughout Light Bulb Moments. There is an explosion of rainbow happiness on every piece of this collection, with unique and adorable educational doodles sprinkled throughout! AND all-the-heart-eyes for the gorgeous watercolor texture, making Light Bulb Moments truly stunning and vibrant! 

Next down the runway: Glorious pillows – I have loved adding pillows to makeovers since forever! To me it adds such texture and warmth; pattern and pops of color. Once upon a time, I would have to special order them – but not any longer!! We now carry our OWN pillow covers that we designed! There are covers that coordinate specifically with new collections, and some classic colors and patterns that will coordinate with any collection or any room! 

Please note that we sell the pillow cases ONLY. They measure 18×18, so just hop over to a Joann’s or Hobby Lobby for pillow inserts – golden! 

We have a new category! If you’ve been with me very long you will know we have UPRINT products {digital files emailed to your inbox} and DECOR TO YOUR DOOR products {preprinted product mailed to your door}. Drum roll please! We now have UCUT products {preprinted decor mailed to your door that will require cutting out before decorating your heart out}.

I have wanted to offer Statements Pieces (previously called wall art – or enlarged cut-outs) at a feasible price for sooo long. I know the high price of printing at a print shop and again, SGS is #teamteacher, so I worked to develop this new category that will enable teachers to get those beautiful, big Statement Pieces without breaking the bank. When you purchase these UCUT Statements Pieces, the darlings will come folded and have slight creasing {if you look with a magnifying glass}. You can laminate before cutting them out, or go straight for the gold, cut-out and pepper your walls with the most lovely art.

Hot item alert – Lanyards! Most teachers are required to wear lanyards due to identification purposes or for building access, so might as well make them classy and fancy! And major bonus if your lanyard coordinates with your classroom decor! I partnered with two SWEET gals, Love Jenny Lanyards and Olive & Ivory, to design beautiful lanyards for our teachers and goodness did they deliver! I love them and hope they make you feel like kings and queens when you wear them! 

We also added new t-shirts and sweatshirts that match our new collections! And for a pop of fun and spice, we added boho and safari inspired earrings to the shop!

I work hard to be forward thinking in the realm of classroom design, and desire to provide products that build dream classrooms for teachers. As SGS moves forward in our Classroom Transformations you will see more and more implementation of new furniture and organizational storage pieces. Of course, these are available on our site, and yes, I know the price tag is WOWZA. But PLEASE hop over to this post on “How to Help Fund Your Dream Classroom”. Our hope in this new venture, is to partner with districts, schools, PTAs and donors to get our furniture and organizational pieces into your classrooms.

Not only were we busy on shopschoolgirlstyle.com, but we’ve also been busy creating a beautiful experience when teachers visit our little corner of world {AKA Flushing, MI}. We have the BEST teacher friends, who rally and appreciate the products we work hard to develop. And so many of you visited the Main Street store from near and far last summer – some of my favorite moments were meeting you and hearing your stories. 

This summer I wanted to create more depth to the experience of visiting us! Insert: The Lynn Street Store. I see the expense of maintaining and decorating a classroom – teachers pour their hearts and paycheck into their classrooms. And I wanted to honor this and link arms with you in making products even more affordable. So think of Lynn Street as our outlet store! EVERYTHING – from lanterns to bulletin board sets to rugs – are always marked down 50%! And it gives us ALL the joy to do this for our teachers! 

Now when you come visit us, stop by the Main Street Store – this darling nook will hold all our new collections. Then stop by our Lynn Street – this exciting hub will hold all discontinued items at a discounted price. AND you will get a view into all the magic that happens in our warehouse! 

Last but not least, in addition to the NEW collections I created dreamy mini collections. Think of these as the grab ‘n go collections – not as robust as the full collections but just as inspiring! If you are not wanting to overhaul your classroom decor, but wanting to add some pieces to “spruce it up”, these mini collections are the perfect solution!

Bohemian Mood holds pieces that make it a stand-alone-beautiful collection, or individual pieces that could truly befriend many of our Schoolgirl Style collections (or whatever you have on your walls)! The neutral palette creates a soothing atmosphere, and our beautiful, make-you-weak-in-the-knees fringe design is carried throughout!
