I started Schoolgirl Style two years ago. A month into it, I decided to create a Thanksgiving unit specifically centered around the traditional classroom Thanksgiving feast. This was my first unit and I spent forever thinking, creating, and making sure that I gave you the BEST ideas to ensure this day runs smoothly.
This unit includes SEVEN Center ideas as well. So, either make a day out of it and include the feast OR just use the Center ideas for a fun-filled way to celebrate the holiday.
I still love this unit and I’m very proud of the finished product…
Your fabulous party unit includes:
*A large “Give Thanks” polka dot pennant banner for your classroom or home.
*Adorable Thanksgiving cupcake toppers
*”I am thankful for you” teacher tags to attach to a small gift OR can be used as a teacher incentive. Tags can also be used for your own Thanksgiving celebration at your home as place settings or attached to take home bags or leftovers.
*An activity placemat for each child’s place setting.
*A large cut out pilgrim hat
*Large colorful feathers for an Indian headdress with coordinating paper to attach the feathers.
*Four cute Bingo boards with cards
*A total of 7 centers with activity sheets and supplies.
*Supply List
*Center signs for tables
*A complete explanation of conducting a Thanksgiving Feast in your classroom.
You will receive a zip file with numerous files. Print out the “Introduction” first. You can print out only a few centers and supplies OR print out everything for a complete party!
Head on over to the SGS SHOP and check it out!

Now that we have your classroom taken care of, I wanted to give you a few beautiful freebies to use in your own home!
Thanksgiving tends to get overlooked as we frantically prepare for the Christmas season. Personally, I think Thanksgiving is such a beautiful and meaningful holiday and it’s necessary to give it a little attention!
I’ve created these simple, but classic Thanksgiving decorations to use on a dessert table or place them on your dinner table as a pretty reminder of what the day is all about.
Use a coordinated ribbon to match your own home décor for this easy to make banner!
Use this on a dessert table or hang from a fireplace mantel for a stunning focal point!
Use a matte photo paper for best results. Canon has an inexpensive brand of photo paper that I love for my home décor products. You can purchase the photo paper at Staples.
All of these pretty fall decorations were purchased at Hobby Lobby. From the acorn and pumpkin vase fillers, to the berries, leaves, and white pumpkins. Hobby Lobby carries everything you need to make each holiday special! If you’ve never been to a Hobby Lobby, it’s time that you GO! Make sure you set aside a couple hours though, it will take some time to get through the entire store!
I love to decorate with vintage glass cake stands. I have at least ten of these beauties. Holiday displays and food buffets look extra festive and sparkly! You can find vintage cake stands on Etsy, Ebay, flea markets, antique shops, and even thrift stores.
Do you notice the bark vase in the background? I bought this on one of my favorite online shopping sites called Save on Crafts. If you are planning a wedding, shower, or if you need holiday/themed decor, this is a great site to visit!
I used wire stands to hold my prints and placed them around my buffet. Hobby Lobby carries the stands in their party section.
You can also frame the prints and place them in a foyer, on a mantel, or even tack into onto a peg board as a pretty décor accent.
I love this one! Such a great reminder that in all situations, whether good or bad, we must give thanks. We are given opportunities to learn and grow through every experience we encounter. When things get hard or you don’t understand why, there is always something positive that comes from that struggle. This is something that I constantly remind myself when I face my own obstacles.
I hope you will find a use for my printables in your own home. Remember, holidays are a time for family and togetherness. Take time to reflect on all that you’ve been given and the blessings in your own life.
Thank you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of your support. You keep me going by your kind words, comments, and encouragement. One of my biggest blessings in life has been this blog and the ability to express my passion.
I am so thankful, so very very thankful.
Happy Thanksgiving!
