The Happy Honeybee Collection

When I created my first theme, Polka Dots and Daisies, I always envisioned using bees as an option to add to your classroom.

Gosh, I still adore this room!  The black and white is so striking!  Don’t you think that bees would look perfect with this room?

Since then, I’ve had several people email me and ask me to create a bee theme.  In all honesty, I probably wouldn’t do anything too entirely different except add a bee to my labels, tags, and banners.

As I started to create my new tags, I made them in three different designs expecting to narrow it down to just one.  I loved all three and just couldn’t choose!  So, I’ve decided to offer my bee theme in the following patterns.  You will get them all!

1.  Black and white polka dots

2.  Sweet black and white gingham

3.  Yellow, black, and gray polka dots

When you purchase the Happy Honeybee Collection, you will have a choice as to which pattern you would like to use!  You can even mix/match all three designs!

Since I already had a black/white classroom for inspiration, I decided to do a mini-theme just to showcase the patterns of my new designs.  Nothing too over the top, just a way for you to see what you would be purchasing!

Also, make note of the font used…L.O.V.E.!  It is a little old fashioned looking, something I would be completely drawn too if I saw this in a store!

Hope you like it!

There is something so classic and beautiful with this color combination that I just can’t get enough of!  So pretty!

I couldn’t wait to show you this banner.  How pretty is this?!?  I love the yellow, black, and gray combination.  This reminds me of my Lemon Chiffon pack.  This color combination is so trendy right now!

Oh…how do I love thee!  I created everything in the Happy Honeybee Collection with this particular color combination!  It has a touch of trendy, a touch of sweetness, and a bold whimsical look with the large yellow and white polka dots.  Just a little different twist on a traditional bee theme!

Do you see how the polka dots, the gingham, and the yellow all coordinate with one another?

Nameplates and a pretty door sign compliment your bee themed classroom.

I know.  I know.  I used these daisies before, but you can’t have a bee theme without flowers!  Look at how gorgeous these table signs are?!?  Again, I combined the patterns and it is GORGEOUS!

Word Wall tags and pennant banners were  created in three different designs!  Use the pattern you like OR use them all!

My borders are from Creative Teaching Press.  When I saw their newest yellow and black border called Twirls and Swirls, I was in LOVE!  I knew it had to be used in a bee themed classroom or my Polka Dot and Daisy classroom.  The cute yellow scalloped border is also from Creative Teaching Press – this border is called Lots of Dots Yellow.  The scallops on the border mimic the scallops on all of my labels.

“BEE the change you would like to see in this world…”  Perfect for your desk!

eccampbellphotography_SGS_bees20

I always liked to tease my students and tell them that I was the “Queen Bee!”  Isn’t this cute for your bee themed classroom?  Definitely a “must have” for your desk!

  5. I found your site yesterday…..wow!
    LOVE IT.
I do not expect you to create a theme just for me …but can you suggest colors and ideas for a beginning of the year room theme for trains. I teach kindergarten and I use the Cardson Delloosa welcome aboard train and the caption is ALL ABOARD on the wall outside my classroom door. The colors throughout the train are red, green, blue and yellow and I give each child an engineer cap and a bandanna when I meet them at Back to School Night.
When I saw your collections….I thought…. I wish I had her pizzaz to spice up my theme for the beginning of the year…..
Thank you so much for this site and for sharing your gift!
    Sincerely

    • Your idea is darling! I actually saw some awesome clip art for trains yesterday and thought this would be a really cute theme! The best thing to do when coming up with ideas is to write down everything you can think of that is associated with trains. After you created your list, try to think of ways you can incorporate those ideas into your classroom in a creative way.

  6. I LOVE this. I have been using a bee theme for a few years, but wanted to revamp it a bit. This is perfect! How can I order?

  9. How do you get the table number signs to attach to the paper fan. I am using your owl theme next year in my classroom and would like to use fans for the table numbers. Thank for your help.

  10. Your themes are absolutely adorable! I am doing a farm theme for the fall and am really needing help to put it all together…there isn’t much out there! Anyone else doing farm?

  11. This looks beautiful! The combination of yellow, black, gray, and white looks fantastic!

I just put up new wrapping paper for my bulletin board backgrounds and I’m excited! I think it looks so good! I can’t wait to finish updating my room. 🙂 Thanks for all of your inspiration.

    • It is almost finished and will be added to the shop soon! I am in the process of making all of my tags editable, so it is taking some time! 🙂

  12. I thought you mentioned somewhere that you had the directions for how to make the pom poms. Is this correct or did I dream this? If it’s correct, could you please send me or direct me to where I can find the directions. Thank you so much for your help! Sherry Clements rsclements@windstream.net
