Oxford Blue Inspiration: Navy was the biggest color trend this year! Every time I turned around, another big brand was featuring their products in this pretty shade of blue. One day, I went on the Kate Spade website and they were featuring all of their new arrivals. As I predicted, almost every single product was blue. The blue and white combination looked so crisp and clean …I instantly fell in love! Their handbags, dresses, shoes, etc….were all designed in watery blues. I must have stared at those pictures forever. I ended up tossing out the classroom collection that I was currently working on and I began to create a simple, but CLASSIC theme with this rich color. My patterns would include a solid blue, a coordinating polka dot and stripe, AND a basic paisley.

I created a navy collection last year (Preppy Nautical), however, I wanted this theme to be different. My intention was to create a design that would almost appear as a neutral…something subtle, but very sophisticated. Adding pops of color through borders, caddies, totes, and bulletin board paper would be a great way to dress up the collection!
YOU HAVE CHOICES! You could decorate with just the blue and white color scheme OR create your own custom collection by adding your FAVORITE color with Oxford Blue!
Some of my favorite color combos include:
Blue/Hot Pink
Blue/Turquoise
Blue/Red
Blue/Orange
Blue/Kelly Green
Blue/Lime Green
Blue/Yellow
This collection will bring an effortless style to your classroom!
Simple, white lanterns look very classy with a bow tied at the top!
Each SGS collection comes with a pretty stationary set! Check out all of the pieces that come with this theme!
Use coordinating paper to cover cans for custom flower containers.
All of the items in the stationary set are editable. Personalize your paper with your initial by using a pretty font. My favorites…Bombshell Pro or Thirsty Script.
Binder covers are included in each set. Again, add your initial and print!
Line up several flower cans along your window ledge…it will make a statement in your classroom and look so amazingly pretty! I like to use daisies in my room…they are such a playful flower and look fantastic in clusters!
Baskets and totes can be found in the SGS Shop! Add a new fancy label with a coordinating ribbon to dress up a plain container. Fancy labels come in four different styles…
Alphabet pennant banners can be used to create your own custom signs!
Are you inspired yet?!? 🙂
Add a cutout paisley to paper daisies as a cute touch for boring bulletin boards!
If you tie ribbon to your lanterns, try to find a ribbon with a wire edge. The wire makes it easier to manipulate the ribbon!
Our stationary set includes several cards in different designs, prints for your desk, sticker label template, notecards, stationary, and so much more!
Our new 2015 collections all come with calendar sets! Each set has a calendar grid, calendar numbers and special occasion pieces, bulletin board accents, Days of the Week poster, and 12 month headers. I saved the calendar file to a thumb drive, took it to Staples and had them print each piece out on an 18 x24 sheet of paper. Laminate for durability, then use Velcro to attach each piece to your calendar.
